Three’s a Charm
Out & About Spring Tour 2024
CSD’s whirlwind spring tour became a reality last March, to the delight of four Michigan presenters. Returning from Germany, Detroit’s own cellist Erik Asgeirsson joined Michigan Opera Theater Orchestra concertmaster Eliot Heaton and pianist Pauline Martin for a whirlwind 5-day concert tour. An inspiring program of piano trio gems – Beethoven Trio, Op.1, No. 1 in E-flat Major, Fauré Piano Trio, Op. 120 and Smetana Piano Trio in G minor – captivated audience members of the Fair Lane Music Guild, Kerrytown Concert House, Grove Festival (Midland) and Grosse Pointe Memorial. Truly, a season highlight for all!
